Lake Blackshear Homeowners Association
Minutes of Quarterly Meeting
September 23, 2008

The regular meeting of the Association was held at the Veterans State Park, Group Shelter #2.  Board members and Officers present were Bob Davis, George Cook, Chuck Wilcox, Dr. Charles Gillespie, Robert Powell, Bucky Brookshire, Linda Hardin, Debbie Powell, and Minamar Rogers.

The meeting was called to order by President Linda Hardin @ 7:too up.m. The minutes of the June 24, 2008 meeting were approved as written.  The Treasure's report was given by Debbie Powell, Treasurer.

Robert Powell filled in for Wade Law representing the DNR and Marcus Waters representing the Crisp County Power Commission. 

1-  DNR - Budget cut 6% to 10%.
 2-  Lake will be lowered from November 1, 2008 thru December 15, 2008 for new construction and   
      repairs.  Remember permits are required for all new construction.
 3-  Buoy's - working to replace buoy's that were destroyed are underway.
 4-  Licensing has been extended for one (1) year.
 5-  Weed Control - funds will be cut.  This means no control for weeds,  so lets hope for some freezing        days.    

Linda asked James Hurt to lead us in prayer.  Linda also asked everyone to please return their chairs to the proper place after eating.  Our meal was catered by White's in Albany.
