Board members present were Jody Slocum, Robert Powell, Buck Levins, Linda Harden, Leonard Duggan, & Nina Davis. A total of 51 members were present.
Minutes from the previous meeting and the current Treasurer’s report were approved.
Following up on discussion from the 10/30/2012 Board meeting, Mr. Slocum presented the motion that the LBHA return to quarterly meetings on the second Tuesday in the months of January, April, July, and October. The motion was approved.
Ranger Bob Holley (Marion/Schley Cos.) reported they now have 5 people covering 8 counties. There have been no major problems during the boating season. Hunting season is coming up. Call if there are problems, during the week 229-430-4252; weekends 1-800-241-4113. Robert Powell gave the Crisp County Power report in Marcus Waters’ absence. Nov. 1 they will begin lowering the water level, and begin bringing the level back up 12/15/2012. CCP has generated 43% of their usual output. Since March it has been 25%. There are no major projects this year. Let Marcus know if you have concerns about the lake.
A Sumter County resident expressed a concern about the music from the Cypress Grill being loud late at night. A Crisp County resident discussed a concern about a North Cedar Creek resident hauling in dirt and letting it wash into the lake. It was recommended she call Marcus Waters.
Following the business meeting the members enjoyed a hamburger/hotdog meal.
The next meeting is scheduled for January 8, 2013, 7:00pm.
