Minutes of Quarterly Meeting
October 12, 2010

Minutes from the previous meeting and the current Treasurer’s report were approved.

OLD BUSINESS

There was no old business to discuss.

REPORTS

 Marcus Waters, Crisp Power Commission, commented on power consumption over the summer and the effect of lower lake levels due to the lack of rain.  Regarding weed control, contract spraying costs were approximately $30,000.00 for six sprayings.  A member expressed concern about the weed growth in certain areas.  Marcus’ response was that we have an eighty year old shallow lake that contains much of the nutrients needed for weed growth making control a difficult issue. 

He also reported that four of the GO-FISH GEORGIA boat ramps have been finished, and the state is getting bids for the floating docks. 

 Wade Law, GA DNR, reported this year was relatively quiet on the lake.

NEW BUSINESS –

There was no new business.  Please note that we only had 53 in attendance for this meeting but had food prepared for over 100, based on prior supper meetings. We had 112 present at last year’s supper meeting.
