Lake Blackshear Homeowners Association
Minutes of Annual Meeting
April 12, 2005

The regular meeting of Lake Blackshear Homeowner's Association was held at Veterans State Park Group Shelter #2 on April 12, 2005. Approximately 75 people attended.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00P.M. by President George Cooke.

The Minutes of the February 8, 2005 meeting were approved as written.

The Officers attending were George Cooke, Les Barnett, Wilson Hamlett and Debbie Powell.

Directors attending were Robert Powell and Billy Williams.

Robert Powell announced that Minutes of future meetings will be posted on the web site. This is to eliminate the expense of making copies and distributing them at the meeting.

The Financial Report was given by Debbie Powell. It was included with the Minutes distributed and showed a balance of $10,225.27. Debbie reported that we currently have 338 members.

Marcus Waters, with Crisp County, reported on mosquito control, weed control and water flow. Billy Williams reported that fishing had been good.

Guests at the meeting were officials from Sumter, Crisp and Worth Counties. They were: Sumter Co. - Chairman, Tift Pace; Administrator, Lynne Taylor; Zoning, Mike Sudderth; Crisp Co. - Chairman, Ferrell Harper; Commissioner, Brad Faircloth; Worth Co. - Commissioner, Jack Bass.

Each of them reported on activities in their respective counties. This made an interesting program since we had members attending from each of these counties.

A motion was approved for our Association to provide up to $2,500. for the 4th of July fireworks display held on the lake each year.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
